D‑Link updates its best‑selling Vigilance video surveillance range with 4K UHD resolution and H.265 HEVC support

A complete new line‑up of high‑performance, highly reliable indoor/outdoor cameras specifically designed for the modern‑day business

02 June, 2021

D-Link, a global leader in security and surveillance solutions, has announced a complete refresh of its popular Vigilance range of video surveillance cameras. The new cameras offer up to 4K Ultra HD resolution, indoor/outdoor video surveillance – perfect for SMBs and enterprises looking for a highly cost-effective professional solution.

The new Vigilance range includes indoor/outdoor 8MP, 4MP and 2MP dome and bullet cameras that offer resolutions of up to 3840 x 2160, 2592 x 1520, and 1920 x 1080 respectively. H.265/HEVC (High Efficiency Video Coding) support across the range reduces overall network bandwidth utilisation and allows more videos to be stored without sacrificing image quality or resolution.

All the cameras come with weatherproof, IP66-rated design with a wide operating temperature range of -30°C to 50°C, allowing them to be installed in harsh environmental conditions. The dome cameras within the range offer additional protection against malicious physical attacks with their IK10-rated vandal-proof housing

Designed to provide round-the-clock surveillance, the cameras can see up to 30 metres, even in complete darkness, with their long-distance night vision capability.  Additional image-enhancing features such as 2D/3D noise reduction and Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) means they are ideal for deployment in environments with challenging lighting conditions warehouses and building entrances. Simultaneously, high light sensitivity sensors with LowLight+ support allow the cameras to see in colour, even in extremely low-light conditions.

The range is also designed with built-in 802.3af-compliant PoE support, allowing for simplified installation by providing power and networking connectivity over a single standard network cable.

To complement the Vigilance range, D-Link offers an extensive range of video recording and management solutions. The free D-ViewCam video management software allows recording and playback on multiple cameras. At the same time, D-ViewCam Plus offers Intelligent Video Analytics that provides presence/tripwire detection and people/vehicle counting. The new JustConnect 16-Channel H.265 PoE Network Video Recorder (DNR-4020-16P) is an all-in-one solution with integrated PoE ports that can connect and power up to 16 cameras. The standalone design with integrated hard disk bays, USB mouse/keyboard and simultaneous HDMI/VGA monitor support, means no computer is needed.

To round off, the cameras are also fully compatible with D-Link’s new Nuclias Connect Hub Plus (DNH-200), which offers centralised network and video management that is locally stored and cloud-ready. The DNH-200 allows the viewing and recording of up to 20 cameras simultaneously and the centralised management of up to 50 Nuclias Connect wireless access points.
