D-Link, a global leader in smart surveillance and connectivity, has been awarded this year’s highly acclaimed Red Dot Award for two of its smart surveillance cameras - the mydlink Full HD Pan & Tilt Pro Wi-Fi Camera (DCS-8526LH) and 2K QHD Pan & Zoom Outdoor Wi-Fi Camera (DCS-8635LH).
Both the DCS-8526LH and DCS-8635LH cameras were recognised in this year’s Product Design category, specifically praised for their innovative engineering, functionality and high performance. The Red Dot Award is a globally recognised accolade that celebrates the world’s best in product, communication and design concepts.
Kevin Wen, President of D-Link Europe, commented: “This award is testament to our commitment to creating technology that is not just high-performing, but also enhances the space it’s in. Across everything we create, design is just as important to us as reliability and performance - and we are proud to have been recognised in this way.”
Unveiled earlier this year, the Full HD Pan & Tilt Wi-Fi Camera uses a Full HD 1080p sensor with motorised pan and tilt to give a clear view of an entire room, front and back, with a single camera. Its Panorama View Angle Selection allows users to move the camera view to a specific area quickly.
What’s more, its Auto Motion Tracking function automatically pans and tilts to follow an object as it moves. For environments that require a wired connection, the camera is also equipped with a built-in Ethernet port.
Available later this year, the 2K QHD Pan & Zoom Outdoor Wi-Fi Camera provides precise, detailed surveillance to monitor and protect a home or small office. The IP65-rated weatherproof camera offers incredible 2K QHD resolution and 360-degree coverage thanks to its sophisticated, motorised pan feature.
With advanced features such as person detection, facial recognition, auto motion tracking, glass break detection, and speaker siren, users can detect and deter intruders to protect their home.
